Preservation: Rudolph’s Orange County Government Center is endangered.

Goshen, N.Y. lawyers are taking a final stab at saving an archetype of midcentury modernist architecture.  Paul Rudolph’s Orange County Government center is in the final phases of being gutted and stripped of it’s distinctive exterior and replace it with a “modern” structure.  Paul Rudolph was a premier architect when this structure was built almost 50 years ago.

Built in 1957 The Caribbean Motel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the only motel ever inducted into Historic Hotels of America!
