Monday morning just isn’t the same

Monday mornings just aren’t the same without my usual surf of reviews and run downs on last night’s “Mad Men” episode. I’m having withdrawl. The interiors and the characters somehow rounded out my week and I’m missing it. So, starting next Monday we will have an in depth analysis of the interiors on Mad Men -
Do you have a Mad Men inspired (or just happened to exist) room? Does your home or office look like the show? I’d love to see pictures!
So, what was my first reaction to the season finale? “Oooooo, they get to build all new sets!” hee hee.
Can’t wait for next season!

I too am having serious Mad Men withdrawal. After the season finale I turned to my husband and said, “well what the hell do we do Sunday nights now?”
I can’t wait to see pictures of Mad Men every Monday! When we move I plan on painting my walls the color of Joan’s living room. I love her home, as well as the Campbell’s.

That was EXACTLY my reaction to the finale, too! Can’t wait to see the new Sterling Cooper offices next season.
One big disappointment I had this season was Betty’s remodeling of their Ossining house. I was SO looking forward to major interior design thrills — but all we got was that silly Victorian fainting couch that was used to exemplify her budding romance with Henry. (And Don’s saying “Move that lamp table over there.”) Bleh.
May I suggest one theme for your in-depth posts? Pillows! The couches in the exec’s offices, in Betty’s house, in Pete & Trudy’s apartment, all have pillows in wonderful shapes and colors, providing an almost architectural detail. Comparison photos would be fabulous.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think that’s a fabulous idea and so I’ve already gotten permission from AMC to use stills – so look for that this Monday!
I rewatched the final episode JUST looking for throw pillows and you’re right, they have great ones. I need to get a good look at Joan’s apartment tho – I bet those are fabulous!
