Watching the Facebook posts, we came across this treasure trove of fabulous images – the GM Heritage Center has some astounding images for you to look at (seriously, get a cup of coffee and have a long sit).
They feature a lot of their old brochures and information on cars!
Some fun peaks in to the “future” – too bad we never hit this era, eh?

This motel came as a recommendation from two different readers, Jim Ross and Jerry McClanahan with the EZ66 guide. We added it to our stays along Route 66 in New Mexico. This little motel is a bargain, clean, updated (good or bad depending on whether preservation is a priority or modern comforts) and family owned and operated. We haven’t been doing much remodeling lately, and I’ve been neglecting this catagory. However, I recently ran across these fabulous tiles from Clayhaus Ceramics. I wish I’d known abou them when we picked out bathroom tile for our remodel. I’m sure most of you know Pam, Retro Renovation – she’s a fanatstic resource for Mid-Century remodeling manufacturers.
