For those of you who don’t know, I love needlework, quilting and mid-century, so of course, this fabulous project/blog caught my eye:
The description on the site is “Quilters using mid-century modernism as a touchstone as they create quilts together.” Blocks are assigned monthly and I have to say they’re gorgeous!

This was spotted over on Boing Boing, but I love this idea of custom gingerbread house to look like your home! And it’s midcentury (whoopee!) I think I like this one even better than the modern one I posted before! 🙂 There’s more to the kitchen sink saga but I’ll post it later today. Sigh, the joys of home ownership.
Based on this article which ran a while ago (although it was published in February so it’s even older than that) – this makes for a fantastic discussion among re-modelers and preservationists. If you read the article in the link, they did research and then tried to make the remodel look progressive. In preservation, we’ve certainly run into a lot of this on the road with mid-century motels where they have to keep it looking
